Hani Rashid has designed a vast range of works that place him well ahead of his peers in the field of digital design. His projects span from experimental spatial installations to digital architecture. His most innovative works include two multi-dimensional and interactive architectural environments: the New York Stock Exchange Virtual Trading Floor and the Guggenheim Virtual Museum. This virtual architectural feel is translated to his product design through his use of uncommon shapes that serve ordinary purposes and contemporary use of spatial design elements. These characteristics are clearly visible in the Express set of two Coffee Spoons. While easily embodying the overall design of your common spoon, these pieces feature a more primitive geometric shape. Devoid of perfectly finished edges and decoration, these spoons offer a raw, industrial contemporary feel to your everyday cup of joe.
